A wonderful recipe form an Italian friend. We love it and it is usually enough to freeze for a second meal.

Stove Top

Ingredients

1 can(s)
tomato paste
1 c
chianti
1 can(s)
san marzano tomatoes the large one
1-2 can(s)
diced tomatoes
1 can(s)
cento pureed tomatoes
1 box
mushrooms
1 medium
chopped onion
6-7
garlic cloves. either whole or smashed, not chopped or diced
1-2 jar(s)
ragu traditional ( i know i know, but they have all the seasonings down pat which makes it easier)

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Sautee the meat, onions, and mushrooms, and garlic until the meat is fully cooked.
2
Add the paste and blend in with the meat cooking for about 2 minutes. Then add all of the other ingredients. I normally pour the wine into the cans and the sauce jar to get all of the remaining yumminess out of them. Simmer for as long as you want. The sauce gets deeper and richer the more it simmers, but it's also a really great 30 minute sauce.
