French Fry Casserole

This is a good satisfying dish. My kids always liked it. You can make it ahead and place in the refrigerator to put in the oven when you get home from work.

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb
ground beef (i think you could use pork or turkey if you prefer.)
1/2 medium
onion, chopped
1/2 medium
green pepper, chopped
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
1 bag(s)
frozen mixed vegetables or your choice
1 lb
frozen french fries
1 can(s)
cream of chicken soup
1/2 can(s)
water
4 oz
velveeta or american cheese

Step-By-Step

1Brown ground meat in a large frying pan. Drain off any grease if needed.
2Add onions and pepper to meat and continue cooking until translucent. Salt and pepper to taste and add worcestershire sauce.
3Place cooked meat in a large greased casserole.
4Top with vegetables and then french fries.
5Mix soup and water. Stir until smooth. Add cheese and cook on stove top or microwave until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
6Pour sauce over casserole. Do not stir.
7Bake casserole, covered, in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat and bake another 20 minutes.
8Remove cover and bake another 10 minutes or so until browned and bubbly.
