Cajun Beef Pepper Steak

1 lb
boneless beef sirloin steaks, cut 3/4 in thick
2 tsp
cajun or creole seasoning blend
2 medium
red bell peppers, cut into quarters
2 tsp
vegetable oil
1 pkg
8oz cajun or creole rice mix with seasoning

Directions Step-By-Step

Press 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoning blend evenly onto beef steak. Toss bell peppers with oil and remaining 1/2 teaspoon seasoning blend.
Place steak in the center of grid over medium, ash-covered coals; arrange bell peppers around steak. Grill, uncovered, 13 to 16 minutes for medium rare ( 145 F ) to medium ( 160 F ) doneness and peppers are tender, turning occasionally.
Meanwhile prepare rice blend according to package directions, omitting oil or butter.
Carve steak into slice. Serve with peppers and rice.
