Creamy Spinach and Chicken Lasagna

I had this recipe come to me while eating dinner one night. I wrote it down and decided to try it and see if it was good enough to post and it is. My mother is hard to please at times when it comes to my cooking, but she really enjoyed this one.

2 lb
ground chicken
fresh mushrooms or 1 can
1 tsp
garlic powder
1/2 c
green bell pepper
onion diced
1 tsp
basil, dried
1 tsp
oregano, dried
1 c
1 pkg
frozen spinach (cooked and drained completely)
1 large or 2 small containers of philidelphia cooking creme(italian herb)
16 oz
cottage cheese/ricotta cheese which ever one you prefer
lasagna noodles
1 pkg
(16-oz shredded italian cheese

Directions Step-By-Step

In a skillet,spray with cooking spray,then add ground chicken,onion,bell pepper,mushrooms,garlic powder,oregano,basil,salt,and pepper. Cover and simmer until done,drain off any water or fat. Add 1/2 container of cooking creme and milk set aside
cook lasagna noodles by directions on box
cook spinach drain completely
In a bowl beat eggs,add the reaining part of the cooking creme,cottage cheese,and cooked spinach stir together
Using a cassarole dish,layer part of the meat mixture,sprinkle with cheese then lasagna noodles then cottage cheese mixture, then start with meat again then cheese and so on until all is used up saving some cheese to put on top the last ten minutes of cooking time,cover with foil place in oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes remove foil add rest of cheese place in oven for another ten minutes or until golden brown, romove from oven allow to settle for 5 mintutes or so.
