Ingredients For spice rubbed poached halibut

  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    parsley flakes
  • 5 clove
    garlic, peeled & crushed
  • 2
    halibut or cod fillets, skinless
  • GARNISH:
  • 1 tsp
    parsley flakes
  • lemon wedges
  • pepper

How To Make spice rubbed poached halibut

    Melt butter in medium skillet; add garlic & cook on low, about 30 seconds. Add milk, salt, 1 Tbsp parsley to skillet. Bring to a simmer on low heat, cover & let simmer for another 5 minutes or until fragrant.

    When the poaching liquid is ready, gently add fish into the pan. Cook, covered, 10 - 12 minutes. When done, fish should be opaque.

    When each fillet is ready, use slotted spoon to transfer to serving plate. Garnish with parsley, lemon wedges & pepper.
