Ingredients
- 1 x large egg
- 3/4 cup beer
- 1 cup self rising cornmeal
- 2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 4 large shrimp, peeled, deveined, tails off, cooked, minced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- vegetable oil
- SERVE WITH:
- sour cream
- ranch dressing
How To Make shrimp hush puppies

Step 1Mix all ingredients (except oil) together; mix well. Chill for 1 hour.

Step 2Heat oil in deep fryer to 350 degrees F.

Step 3Drop by tsp into hot oil (a few at a time, not to crowd) until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Step 4Serve with sour cream or ranch dressing with fried fish! Mmmmmmm!
