Shrimp and Grits

|1 c||grits quick cooking|
|1 c||grated sharp cheese|

|1 lb||cleaned cooked medium shrimp|
|2 Tbsp||chopped fresh parsley|
|2 clove||crushed garlic|
|2 Tbsp||lemon juice, fresh|
SO, being from NY, I could not imagine this combo. After one taste out to eat one night, I was sold; may not be southern but my family loves my northern version!
Super smooth and satisfying, this recipe could easily be doubled for a potluck or party. Next time I may add butter to the grits for an even creamier consistency. Yum!
Melt butter, saute' garlic & onions until softened. Add shrimp, toss in parsley and lemon juice.
Place grits on warmed plates, top with shrimp, enjoy
