Slow cooker Sesame Chicken

Delicious and EASY!

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb
boneless/skinless chicken breasts
1/2 c
honey
1/4 c
soy sauce
2 Tbsp
dried onion
2 Tbsp
ketchup
1 Tbsp
oil
1/2 tsp
garlic powder
2 tsp
cornstarch dissolved in 3 tablespoons water
sesame seeds

Directions Step-By-Step

Put chicken into crock pot.

Combine honey, soy sauce, onion, ketchup, oil, and garlic. Pour over chicken.

Cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high 1 1/2 – 2 1/2 hours, or just until chicken is cooked through. Remove chicken from crock pot, leave sauce.

Dissolve 2 teaspoons of cornstarch in 3 tablespoons of water and pour into crock pot. Stir to combine with sauce. Replace lid and cook sauce on high for ten more minutes or until slightly thickened.

Cut chicken into bite size pieces and return to crock pot - can leave chicken in and simmer on low or serve. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve over rice.

    I have not gotten to try this one yet. But you might try to use half Soy Sauce and Half Braggs Liquid Aminos. The Liquid Aminos has excellent flavor. Less SALT. and is Excellent for you. It's a little more expensive but if you're sensitive to salt like me (swell like a water balloon), it's wonderful stuff.

    I've been using Braggs Liquid Amino's for years as a replacement to Kikkoman's lower sodium soy sauce. Braggs is more than 1/2 less sodium than that low salt version. Its also made w/ soy so taste is delicious!

    That is Awesome Elizabeth. I've only found Braggs recently and I love it. My family loves it and it's so much healthier. I wish it came in a more economical size since I use a lot of Balsamic vinegar in the summer and mix it for more flavor for like Marinated cucumbers or Noodled Zucchini Salad (my son calls it that). This Slow Cooker Chicken recipe is going to be awesome like it is and when you customize it. What a great recipe.
