Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

1- (17) oz bottle buffalo wing sauce
1/2 (1) oz package dry ranch salad dresssing mix
2 Tbsp butter
6 hoagie rolls

I made this last night for the first time. Not even sure were I got this recipe from, just know it looked good. Very big hit with the family. We ate ours with ranch dressing and cheddar cheese.

This sandwich is so good that your guests will never guess how super easy it is! (Definitely worthy of the big game!) It's like wings and a hoagie all rolled into one... What guy (or gal) doesn’t love that? We used the Frank’s hot sauce brand of wing sauce when we prepared this and some of us added cheese. Some ranch or bleu cheese dressing would be yummy for dipping too!


Place the chicken into a slow cooker, and pour in 3/4 of the wing sauce and the ranch dressing mix. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours. Once the chicken has cooked, add the butter, and shred the meat finely with two forks. Pile the meat onto the hoagie rolls and splash with remainging sauce.

ooooohhhhh this sounds good, and spicey too. . . ??? will try this one soon. Is that wing sauce all that is needed for seasoning??

Yes that is all the recipe called for and it is pretty spicey, but good.

I tried this and found it really tasty but a little salty. Perhaps I used too much wing sauce or should have used unsalted butter?

i would use unsalted butter. i always cook with unsalted but will use the salted butter at the table for breads.
