Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken breasts, boneless & skinless
- - salt & pepper, to taste
- 1/3 cup soy sauce, low sodium
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup tomato paste, no salt added
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon sriracha hot chili sauce (or more to taste)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
- 2 - scallions, sliced (both greens & whites)
How To Make crock pot honey sesame chicken

Step 1Place chicken in crock pot & season with salt & pepper.

Step 2In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, tomato paste, vinegar, garlic, 1 tbsp water, sesame oil, onion powder & sriracha hot chili sauce. Pour over chicken & cook on LOW 3 - 4 hours.

Step 3Remove chicken, leaving the sauce in the slow cooker. Shred chicken with two forks; set aside.

Step 4In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 C water; add to the slow cooker & stir to combine. Cover & cook on HIGH until slightly thickened, about 15 - 20 minutes; return chicken to the slow cooker & mix well.

Step 5Serve chicken & sauce over rice & top with sesame seeds & chopped scallions for garnish.
