Rinse,salt and pepper chicken . Place cut up chicken into a large oven proof baking dish.(6 -8 chicken pieces). Place minced garlic and quartered onion on top with drained artichoke hearts.Pour chicken broth over mixture and bake in 350 degree oven for 2 hours covered with foil. Last half hour uncover and let bake until golden brown. If desired, subsitute whole can of chicken broth with a half cup white wine and half cup of chicken broth and bake as directed.
