Ingredients

1 lb
chicken, boned and skinless cut in very thin strips
1/2 tsp
cornstarch
1 Tbsp
soy sauce
1 Tbsp
dry sherry
1 tsp
garlic clove, minced
1/2 Tbsp
oil
1 tsp
ginger
1/2 c
carrots, peeled and sliced
1/2 c
celery stalks, sliced
1/2 c
green onions, chopped
1 can(s)
water chestnuts, drained
1 pkg
chinese pea pods

SAUCE INGREDIENTS

1/2 c
chicken broth
2 Tbsp
soy sauce
1 Tbsp
cornstarch
1 tsp
sugar

Step-By-Step

1Mix chicken, cornstarch, soy sauce and sherry.

2In skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil over high heat.

3Stir in garlic and ginger.

4Add chicken and stir fry until no longer pink.

5Remove.

6In remaining oil, stir fry carrots and celery 1 minute.

7Add green onions and stir fry 30 seconds.

8Add water chestnuts and pea pods.

9Stir sauce and add to vegetables.

10Cook, stirring until boiling.

11Return chicken to pan and heat through.

12Sauce: Mix ingredients over medium heat in small saucepan.

13Pour over chicken.
