Chicken Noodle Soup...Quick and Easy

I took my StepMom to the doctor yesterday, so as I was setting in the waiting room reading magazines, I found this recipe in a small free pamplet called "NWA
Seniors Out-n-About". It was a December 2011 issue.
BUT, putting it in my words!!!

Thought to myself, for a quickie this sounds pretty good.
Could easly change it up using turkey, ham...etc.

Ingredients

1 Tbsp
butter
1 c
chopped celery
3 1/2 c
chicken broth
1/4 tsp
pepper
1 lb
skinned chicken, cubed (i'm thinking cooked although they did not say so)
1 c
chopped carrot
1 Tbsp
flour
1/2 tsp
salt
2 c
uncooked egg noodles
1 c
water

Step-By-Step

1Melt butter in a large heavy pot, over medium-high heat.
2Add carrots & celery; then sauté for 3 minutes.
3Stir in the flour and cook, stirring, for about 1 minute.
4Remove from heat and gradually stir in the broth, water, salt and pepper.
5Return to heat, and bring to a full boil.
6Cover; reduce heat and let simmer 5 minutes.
7Add in the noodles and chicken, then bring back to a full boil.
8Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes...be sure to Enjoy with your favorite crackers or a hot loaf of bread from the oven!!!
