Chicken Breast Casserole

- chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1 c
- 1 pkg
- bread crumbs
- 1 lb
- mozzarella cheese
- 2 can(s)
- parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 tsp
- garlic salt
1Beat eggs and milk together and let chicken set in this mixture, refrigerated for 1/2 hour.
2Roll chicken in bread crumbs mixed with parmesan cheese and seasonings.
3Fry in butter until light golden brown.
4Butter casserole dish on bottom and sides; layer chicken, mushrooms and grated cheese.
5Keep layering until dish is full, placing smaller chicken pieces on bottom. (Usually makes 2 layers).
6Bake uncovered at 325° for 25-35 minutes.
7NOTE: This dish can be prepared the night before and refrigerated until ready to cook.
