Assemble ingredients. Wrap slice of bacon around each piece of chicken, place side by side in baking dish.
Mix soup and sour cream, spread over chicken.
Saute sliced mushrooms in butter, add to sauce in baking dish. Add pepper to taste.
Cover with foil, and bake at 225 for four hours!
Remove foil, bake an additional 15 minutes at 350.
Serve with rice. Yummm.
**NOTE** While it was cooking, I questioned whether the chicken and the bacon would get thoroughly done at such a low heat; however, when it was finished, not only did the oven thermometer register that it was done, it was really tender and oh so tasty! so it worked.
