Ingredients For asian chicken burger
- LIME MAYO:

3/4 cmayonnaise, fat-free

1/2 tsplime zest

1 Tbsplime juice

2 Tbspsriracha (see below) or chili sauce
- BURGERS:

2 lbground chicken
-
1/2 cscallions, chopped
-
2 Tbspsoy sauce, low sodium
-
2 Tbspsugar
-
1 Tbspsesame oil
-
1 Tbsplemongrass, minced
-
6 clovegarlic, minced
-
1 Tbspvegetable oil
-
6 Tbsphoisin sauce
-
6hamburger buns or rolls
- SIDE DISH:
-
sweet potato fries or sweet potato chips, for serving, optional
How To Make asian chicken burger

1LIME MAYO: Combine the mayonnaise, Sriracha, lime zest & juice in a small bowl. Set aside.

2BURGERS: Combine the chicken, scallions, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, lemongrass & garlic, gently mixing to incorporate. Divide the mixture into 6 patties & set aside. Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat, & brush with the vegetable oil. Place the patties on the grill & cook, turning once until done, 6 - 8 minutes per side. During the last few minutes of cooking, baste each burger with 1 tbsp hoisin sauce.

3ASSEMBLY: Spread about 1 tbsp of the Sriracha lime mayo on each bun bottom & top. Place the patties on the bun bottoms, add the bun top. These burgers are great served with sweet potato fries or sweet potato chips.

4Sriracha = (Hot Chili Sauce) Sriracha is made from sun ripen chilies which are ground into a smooth paste along with garlic & packaged in a convenient squeeze bottle. It is excellent in soups, sauces, pastas, pizzas, hot dogs, hamburgers, chowmein or on anything else to give it a delicious, spicy taste.
