Shannon's StoryI was making a cabbage soup that morphed into this. My family raved about it and I have made it ever since. Great served with Hawaiian sweet rolls.
I always cook to taste so spice measurements are not exact on this, you will have to tweak it to taste. This is actually a really easy soup.
sm. head of cabbage, cut as desired
sweet corn, or use frozen
sweet onion, diced
garden fresh gourmet salsa
cumin, more or less to taste. it's supposed to taste taco-y
dash of cayenne (optional... for heat)
salt and pepper to taste

1Brown hamburger in the bottom of a large pot and then add veggies and pour in water until almost covering vegetables. The cabbage will cook down. Bring to a boil and then simmer covered. Add more water if needed. Add spices to taste and mix well.
