Ingredients

1 lb hamburger
2 can(s) beef broth
2 sm. head of cabbage, cut as desired
2 can(s) green beans
2 can(s) sweet corn, or use frozen
2 can(s) diced tomatoes
1 sweet onion, diced
1 c garden fresh gourmet salsa
3 clove garlic
1 Tbsp cumin, more or less to taste. it's supposed to taste taco-y
2 tsp chili powder
dash of cayenne (optional... for heat)
salt and pepper to taste

I was making a cabbage soup that morphed into this. My family raved about it and I have made it ever since. Great served with Hawaiian sweet rolls.
I always cook to taste so spice measurements are not exact on this, you will have to tweak it to taste. This is actually a really easy soup.

 

Directions

Brown hamburger in the bottom of a large pot and then add veggies and pour in water until almost covering vegetables. The cabbage will cook down. Bring to a boil and then simmer covered. Add more water if needed. Add spices to taste and mix well.
