Ingredients

1 1/2
lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
2 Tbsp
cooking oil
2 medium
carrots shredded (1 cup)
2 medium
onions sliced (1 cup)
1 8 oz
can tomato sauce
1/2 c
water
1/4 c
packed brown sugar
1/4 c
vinegar
1 Tbsp
worcester sauce
1 tsp
salt
1 Tbsp
cold water
2 tsp
cornstarch
hot cooked noodles

Step-By-Step

1In a 3 qt sauce pan, brown half of the meat at a time in hot oil.

2In the same pan combine the carrot, onion, tomato sauce, half cp water, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcester and salt.

3Cover and cook over low heat till meat is tender (about 1 1/2 hours)

4Blend 1 TBS cold water mixed with the cornstarch to the stew. Continue to cook and stir till thick and bubbly.

5Serve over noodles
