Ingredients

1 lb hamburger
1 c water
1/2 c uncooked white rice
2-8oz can(s) tomato sauce
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp italian seasoning (find at local sam's club seasoning isle)
1/4 tsp onion powder
1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
6 green bell peppers

PLACE RICE AND WATER IN SAUCEPAN.
BRING TO BOIL.
REDUCE HEAT AND COVER. SIMMERING FOR 20 MINUTES
IN MEDIUM SKILLET OVER MEDIUM HEAT BROWN HAMBURGER THOUROUGHLY
REMOVE SND DISCARD TOPS, SEEDS AND MEMBRANES OF BELL PEPPERS

PLACE PEPPERS IN BAKING DISH
IN LARGE BOWL MIX BROWNED BEEF, COOKED RICE, 1 CAN TOMATO SAUCE, WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE, GARLIC POWDER, ONION POWDER, SALT AND PEPPER.
SPOON EQUAL AMOUNTS OF MIXTURE INTO EACH HOLLOWED PEPPER

MIX REMAINING TOMATO SAUCE AND POUR OVER STUFFED PEPPERS.BAKE FOR ONE HOUR @ 350 DEGREES
BASTE EVERY 15 MINUTES, UNTIL PEPPERS ARE TENDER

Simple and good, I did chopped onions instead of the onion powder and added parsley. Tasted Great.

don't know if u know this or not,,,but, u can bake your stuffed peppers in muffin tins and that way they won't fall over and they stay a nice shape and also,,,u can bake potatoes in the leftover spaces u didn't use,,,or can make mac and cheese and stuff in them,,,have a meal all in one!!

I'm gonna try making this for dinner tonight. Sounds easy & yummy. I may blanch the peppers 1st.

I will also try this and also will blanch the peppers first. I've tried to make them without the blanching process, and my husband would rather I blanch them. Said they were easier to chew,(lol) and had better flavor. ;)

This sounds really good, it reminds me of the stuffed peppers my mom made when I was growing up. She used similar ingredients, but added a can of corn to the filling, and had a Cheese-Bread topping (which was just white bread torn into hunks, buttered, set on top of the casserole, with slices of American cheese on top of it. We would all fight over that cheese bread lol
