My daughter LOVES frozen salsbury steaks, but I don't love all the sodium in them. Decided to make my own & I'm happy to say now if she gets a frozen one she says it's not as good as mommy's.

Ingredients

FOR BEEF

1 lb
ground beef
1/2 c
saltine cracker crumbs
1/2 can
golden mushroom soup,
1
envelope onion soup mix
1
egg beaten

FOR GRAVY

1/2 can(s)
water
1 jar(s)
savory beef gravy
1/2 can
golden mushroom soup, (rest of can from patties)
1-8 oz can(s)
mushrooms
2 dash(es)
worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp
pepper

Directions Step-By-Step

Combine ingredients for patties in bowl. Mix well and form into 4 good size oval patties.

Brown patties on both sides. Don't cook all the way through as they will continue to cook in the gravy.

Combine the gravy ingredients in a bowl and pour over patties. Gently lift the patties to let some of the gravy get under the patties. Cover and reduce heat to med/low and let simmer in gravy for 20-30 minutes.

Serve with Mashed potatoes & veggie of choice.
