I can't remember exactly where I got this recipe because I've had it for 40 or so years. I think that it came from a Campbell's Soup cookbook.

Ingredients

1 can(s)
french onion soup, divided
1 1/2 lb
lean ground beef
1/2 c
dry bread crumbs (plain)
1
egg, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp
salt
dash(es)
black pepper
1/4 c
catsup
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp
prepared yellow mustard
1/4 c
water
1 Tbsp
all-purpose flour

Step-By-Step

1Thoroughly mix 1/3 cup soup with ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, salt and pepper; shape into 6 oval patties. Brown and drain.
2Mix remaining ingredients with remaining soup. Pour over patties in pan and cook on low heat about 20 minutes or until meat is cooked through.
3Serve with cooked noodles or rice.
