Ingredients

2 Tbsp
butter
1 c
sauerkraut, canned and drained
8 slice
swiss cheese
8 slice
corned beef
8 slice
rye bread
1/2 c
thousand island dressing

Step-By-Step

1Preheat a large skillet or griddle on medium heat.

2Lightly butter one side of bread slices.

3Spread non-buttered sides with thousand island dressing.

4On 4 bread slices, layer 1 slice Swiss cheese, 2 slices corned beef, 1/4 cup sauerkraut and second slice of Swiss cheese.

5Top with remaining bread slices, buttered sides out.

6Grill sandwiches until both sides are golden brown, about 15 minutes per side. Serve hot.
