Growing up we had venison as a substitute for beef. This dish is delicious and a favorite 50 plus years later.

Serve it over mashed potatoes or rice and you have a complete meal.

Make it in your crock pot or in the oven, you choose.

Ingredients

raw stew meat (venison, beef, bison)
2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
sugar

celery stalks, chopped

onion, chopped
1-2 c
chopped carrots
1 1/2 c
tomato sauce
3 Tbsp
quick cooking tapioca
1 c
water

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix in cooking pot, cover and bake at 250 degrees for 4 hours.

If using a crock pot use half of the water.
