Karon's Story

This recipe is one from my mothers old files. She had made this often and we always loved these meatballs over mashed potatoes. Hope you all like these different type of Swedish Meatballs.

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb
ground beef
1/2 c
minced onion
3/4 c
dry bread crumbs
1 Tbsp
parsley flakes
1/2 c
milk
1 1/2 tsp
salt
1/8 tsp
pepper
1
egg
1 can(s)
tomatoes
2 tsp
chili powder
2 tsp
mustard
1/4 tsp
allspice
1 tsp
worcestershire sauce
2 tsp
horseradish
1 tsp
brown sugar

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix together the meat, onion, bread crumbs, parsley, milk, salt and pepper. Shape into 1 inch balls and brown.

Heat rest of ingredients for about 20 minutes and pour over meatballs. Serve as desired.

    SWEDISH MEATBALLS I am always looking for recipes to see how I can convert them into Gluten Free recipes.

    Hi Janet,
    Good for you for trying to keep gluten out of recipes if possible. I am sure there are other substitutes to use instead of bread crumbs which would be fine. Hope you find something that works for you.
