This looks like a lot of work, but really it isn't and its worth the effort. If you like your chili a little warm and a little different than this is one for you. I know it has a weird bunch of flavors all in one... but this is why I call it Mix it up Chili. Kind of like how my dad has always cooked. He was a cook in the Vietnam War and just learned to use what you had on hand, even if it was just mixing up a few things you never thought you would have put together. I hope you enjoy it as my family does.
Crumble gound beef and sausage into frying pan. Cook until evenly browned. Drain off excess grease.
In a large crockpot, combined all the ingredients, don't drain juices from the canned beans. Stir and cover and cook on low heat for at least 8 hours. The longer it cooks the better it will taste as with any chili.
If you don't want to put in a crockpot, cook in a large stock pot, stir to blend, cover and simmer over low heat for at least 2 hours. Stirring occasionally.
Dish out in to bowls and top off with cheese, sour cream and corn chips.
