I got this recipe a friend at 1/2 hour meals.My family loves these very much. These can be frozen for a quick snack for unexpected guests or after school for the kids.

lean ground beef
1 c
chopped onion
1/2 c
chopped green bell pepper
8 oz
can tomato sauce
1 c
1 Tbsp
brown sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp
lemon juice or white vinegar
1 1/2 Tbsp
yellow mustard
1 1/2 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp
garlic powder
1/4 tsp
black pepper

Directions Step-By-Step

Scramble and brown beef in a large cast iron skillet; drain.
Add peppers and onions with the beef in skillet and cook until vegetables are soft.
In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients;add to beef mixture, stir. Cook over medium heat, stir occasionally for about 10 minutes.
Serve on toasted buns.
You can substitute ground turkey for the beef, if desired.
