These are soooooo good. I never want to eat a regular buger. I have four sons and husband. They would rather have these then a reg. buger.. so yummo...I promise you if you try these you will NEVER go The special sauce is so good. I make extra and save it in a bottle for all our sandwiches.sooo good..

Blue Ribbon Recipe

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
The flavor combo in this recipe is just plain yummy! I may cut down on the cooking time a tad the next time I make these, but that is totally in the eye of the cook.


2 lb
ground sirloin
3 Tbsp
dill pickle relish
3 Tbsp
steak sauce or worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 Tbsp
grill seasoning [ i use the mesquite grill mates mccormick) i use it for every thing..
1 tsp
sweet paprika
small onion, finely chopped
1/2 c
ranch dressing
1/2 c
1 tsp
ground black pepp
2 c
chopped iceberg lettuce (you can buy bags all ready chopped.. shredded..i use this
1 pkg
king's hawaiian sweet rolls
american cheese if wanted

Directions Step-By-Step

Mix meat and next 4 ingredients by hands. Then i use my cookie scoop and HEAPING scoops and roll them in a ball and put them on a large cookie sheet. Use parchment paper so they do not stick to pan. Then put another paperon top.. u can use wax paper all so.. Put on top of round balls. Then put another cookie sheet on top to flatten hamburger balls. Push down and flatten them..
Cook them inside or grill OR These patties can also be baked on cookie sheets in preheated 400 degree F oven for 10 to 12 minutes. But, on a hot indoor or outdoor grill, these small burgers will take just 2 or 3 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
To make sauce, combine ranch dressing with ketchup and black pepper,,, and use Kings Hawaiian Sweet Rolls.... these are so good and have a hint of sweetness..yumo
I all so added american chees while cooking...serve on dinner rolls with chopped lettuce, chopped onion and Special Sauce.

I also found the pepper a bit to much for us, start with 1/4 tsp and adjust to taste. We like onions so I put sauteed onions in the meat mix (or you can just leave raw and use for topping). I made Hawaiian Sliders by putting a slice of deli ham (sauteed or not) and a sauteed slice of pineapple on each cooked burger. With the Hawaiian Sweet Rolls it is positively delicious. (to us anyway) Next time I will try the coleslaw topping on the Hawaiian Sliders. This is a good base recipe to be creative with. Thanks for sharing.
Next time Bacon BBQ sliders with Bacon in the meat (omit relish)
sauce: half ranch dressing and half BBQ sauce.

I am worried about the SWEET paprika....I couldn't find it at the store. I do have smoked and regular. I am going to use regular and hope for the best. I have been DYING to make these since I saw these 2 weeks ago. I just hope that regular paprika doesn't alter the flavor to much....I did think about taking regular paprika and a pinch of sugar and mix them together.
