Meatloaf Cast Iron Skillet Way
By Brandy Male Sallaboutit
My family loves this and it is good enough for company as well. It is very flavorful and I bake in a cast iron skillet to get a pretty crust on the bottom. Also leftovers make a great sandwich on lightly toasted Texas bread with A1 sauce on it.Pile it high with your favorite cheese and veggies..oh my goodness I am so ready to make this for the cooler weather...
2: Mix bread crumbs milk and egg together set aside.
3: Add meat, onions, tomatoes, green peppers with 3/4 cup catsup amd season salt/pepper/garlic.
4: Mix well don't overwork.I half to use my hands on this one.
6: Shape into cast iron skillet from side to side.
7: Pour 1 cup catsup over the top and bake 1 hour.
8: 1/2 way through the baking check for excess grease and suction out some. Not to much it will dry out.
