Ingredients

1.5 lb
lean ground beef
3 slice
rye bread, torn up
1 c
beer or bouillon
1 large
egg
1/4 c
onion, chopped
1 tsp
salt
1 tsp
caraway seeds, optional
1/2 tsp
celery seed
1/4 tsp
pepper

Step-By-Step

1Heat the oven to 350 degrees.

2Mix all of the ingredients together.

3Spread the mixture into an ungreased loaf pan, 9 X 5 X 3-inches.

4Bake uncovered for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.

5Drain off the excess fat and let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.

6Serve on a heated platter.
