Kid Tested and Husband Approved!
I think most folks grew up on a tight budget. As a result, our family was big on "extender meals". However, this was one of our family's favorites. It was one of my kid's favorites as well (w/2 cans of corn). Now they are grown it's a going on the 3rd generation. What makes it even better; it taste even better as a leftover. It is super easy to make a low fat/low sodium version that tastes just as good. I have substituted ground chicken or turkey, low fat cream soups and low fat sour cream and it was enjoyed just the same!

pinch tips: How to Clean and Season Wood Cutting Boards

1 pkg
noodles, medium sized cooked
1 lb
ground beef, chicken or turkey
1 can(s)
whole kernel sweet corn (drained)
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s)
cream of celery soup
1 c
sour cream
1/4 c
onion chopped
1 Tbsp
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
onion powder
1/4 tsp
garlic powder

Directions Step-By-Step

In a large casserole dish mix both soups, corn, sour cream and spices.
Cook noodles as directed on package. Definately do not over cook. I actually slightly under cook them so they do not get too mushy when you bake them in the mixture above.
In a skillet brown your onions and ground meat with a dash of salt and pepper. Drain fat as needed.
Add noodles and meat mixture to the casserole dish in step one. Mix well.
Cover with a lid or foil. Bake @ 350 for 30-45 min. depending on how deep or shallow your dish is . Remove cover for the last 10 min. to brown the top slightly.

Yummy! Sounds like a great recipe Lisa but just one question. Do you drain the corn or use it with the liquid? I'm so going to try this out.
