Yeah, I finally came across a dinner recipe of Grammie's. I hope to find a few more hidden in the pages of her cookbooks but for now this is a classic dish that so many enjoy. I will look forward to making it and having it for dinner soon.

3/21/2012 --- Made this tonight for dinner and it was delicious. I cooked it in a small glass pan so the sauce came up half way in the dish and I basted it about every 15 to 20 minutes. I had enough sauce that I just drizzled it over some steamed potatoes and sliced meatloaf too. Yumm!!!

Ingredients

MEATLOAF

1 1/2 lb
ground beef
1 c
fresh bread crumbs
1 medium
onion, chopped
1/2 can(s)
hunt's tomato sauce
1 large
egg, beaten
1 1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
pepper

SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE

1/2 can(s)
hunt's tomato sauce
1 c
water
2 Tbsp
vinegar
2 Tbsp
mustard
2 Tbsp
brown sugar or molasses

Directions Step-By-Step

Lightly mix above ingredients for meatloaf, form into a loaf. Place in pan and cook at 350 degrees.

While it is starting to bake, combine the following ingredients above to make a sweet and sour sauce. over loaf in oven, continue baking 1 1/2 hours, basting occasionally.
