Ingredients

2 lb ground beef
2 26 ounce canned or jarred sauce (i use ragu)
1 can(s) (12 ounce) tomato paste
2 lb green bell peppers, cut into 1" strips
2 lb red bell peppers, cut into 1" strips
2 lg onions, cut into 1
salt and pepper to taste
1 to 2 c water (i use as needed)
1/4 c sugar
2 Tbsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp basil
1 Tbsp italian seasoning
1 tsp cayenne pepper (more or less for your taste)
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (more or less for your taste)
2 pkg sub rolls (or your favorite rolls)

Directions

In large dutch oven, cook ground beef until browned,over medium-high heat. Salt and pepper meat to taste.
Drain.

Add cooked beef to dutch oven and add all remaining ingredients (add water as needed). Cover and simmer for up to 4 hours.

Serve hot on your favorite sub roll with a side of potato chips, or macaroni or potato salad!

Sorry, but what does "cut into 1" mean?

These are Rhode Island's fav's! We love our dynamites! Just serve em in your favorite sub rolls, I even like to sprinkle with Parmesan too!

Hi David, yes, I like to use 2lbs of green and a combination of 2lbs with the red, yellow, orange! You want it to be loaded with peppers and onions!
