Crockpot Meatballs with Remnant Sauce

I love making these meatballs and sauce because I get to clean out my refrigerator of all the bottles that are almost empty. I have found that as long as I have a tomato base sauce along with almost anything else this sauce turns out great. It is always different and never the same twice but everyone loves them. Sometimes they are spicy/hot & other times they are sweet & savory. I make sure I recycle the bottles as well.
I taught my oldest nephew Rhyan how to make these at home and how it is an easy dinner meal for the entire family.

As my Grammie would of said, "Waste not, want not".

Method:

Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

1 large
bag of frozen meatballs or make your own
jar(s)
small amt of grape jelly
jar(s)
small amt of strawberry jam
bottle
small amt of mango chili sauce
bottle
almost full of chili sauce
bottle
half full of ketchup
bottle
almost empty bbq sauce
bottle
almost empty steak sauce
parmesan and/or romano cheese for topping

EMPTY OUT YOUR HALF FULL/ALMOST EMPTY BOTTLES

any sauces or jellies you have that are almost empty

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Gather any bottles in your refrigerator that are almost empty. Ketchup, steak sauces, chili sauces, jellies, jams and etc...
Next, empty them into your crockpot then rinse each bottle out with a little water and add to the mix.
2
Add one bag of frozen meatballs into the sauce mixture.
3
Cook for at least 45 minutes on medium or on low for 3 hrs or so until the meatballs are hot. This is just the minimum amount of time they need to be in the crockpot.

I usually have mine in the crockpot for several hours on low so that family can help themselves to a meal whenever they want.
4
Then you can make meatballs sammies or serve the meatballs and sauce in little dishes by themselves. Or they can be served over rice or pasta.
5
Gather up all your empty bottles to toss in recycle bin.
6
Recycle bin:A great time to share with your kids or nieces and nephews how important it is to recycle products.
