Ingredients

cube steak, family pack (includes about six)
2 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup (10.75 oz)
1 pkg
onion soup mix, dry in envelope
3/4 c
water
salt & pepper to taste

Directions Step-By-Step

Place cube steaks in a crockpot.

Stir all other ingredients together and pour over meat. Cover and cook on low all day.

Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.

Ladies, the pink is completely normal when cooking meat like this in a crock pot. The meat is fully cooked, trust me. :)

Out of this world delicious!! I made this for my family tonight and we all devoured it! Such a simple recipe and so amazingly good. I served it over mashed potatoes and had field peas with snaps and sliced tomatoes as the veggies. :)
Note - To keep the meat from falling apart during the cooking process, ask your butcher to cut you fresh cube steaks and to run them through the tenderizer ONLY once. Also, instead of water, I used low sodium beef broth. It adds even more flavor to this amazing dish. Yum!! :)

:( threw it out. It smelled so good cooking. Not sure what happened. I cooked on low for 8 hours but the cube steak was still pink.

Made this tonight for tomorrow's dinner. Mine is still pink after 8hrs on low, is that normal?
