Ingredients

1 cube steak, family pack
2 can(s) cream of mushroom soup (10.75 oz)
1 pkg onion soup mix, dry in envelope
3/4 c water
salt & pepper to taste

Directions

Place cube steaks in a crockpot.

Stir all other ingredients together and pour over meat. Cover and cook on low all day.

Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.

I cooked this today for the first time. I used the family pack cube steak and followed the directions perfectly. I went to serve this to my family and all the steak had cooked away. I am so upset. Not sure what the crap happened. But this is not a good reciepe. I will never cook it again.

I have cooked this many times and never had the "steak cook away". You didn't stir the meat did you? Just lay the meat in the crockpot. Stir the other ingredients together and pour on top of the meat. Just let cook all day and steaks should come out whole.

This is how I do my pot roast in the crockpot, and it's delicious. Ill have to try the cube steak. I bet it's good.

I think I left the cube steak in the slow cooker too long. It's dry!!! Is there a fix????waahhh!!!! Please and thanks

How long was it in the crock pot and was it on low? I cook mine typically 7-8 hours on low with no problem.

Thanks for the quick response. Great news, my Son loved it, he thought I was crazy:-) Thank you so much for posting this, that gravy is DA bomb. I served with rice, green beans and cornbread. Bless you.

This is in response to Donna which may be helpful. At my grocery store I could only find cube steak that said "skillet ready"in the meat case. I asked the butcher about this and asked if it would "fall apart" in a crockpot. He told me it would as it is pounded down for tenderness. He made me some cube steaks that were thicker and perfect for the crock pot!
