I was in the mood for something spicy tonight, but didn't really feel like cooking. Crock Pot to the rescue! Hope you enjoy this chili with a hint of chocolate.

Ingredients

1 large
onion, diced
1 lb
lean ground beef
1 Tbsp
chili powder
1 tsp
allspice, ground
1/2 tsp
cayenne pepper
2 tsp
cinnamon
2 Tbsp
cocoa, unsweetened
2 tsp
garlic, minced
2 tsp
jalapeno pepper, minced
2 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp
vinegar
1 can(s)
light red kidney beans, 15 oz.
1 can(s)
dark red kidney beans, 15 oz.
1 can(s)
corn, 15 oz.
1 can(s)
diced tomatoes, 28 oz.
1/2 c
beef broth
salt, to taste
cooking spray

Step-By-Step

1Use cooking spray to coat inside of cock pot.

2In skillet, lightly brown ground beef. Do not over cook, it will finish cooking in crock pot. You are mostly doing this to break up the meat.

3Then add ingredients to crock pot in order listed. Cook on high for 1 hour, then stir to thoroughly combine all ingredients.

4Continue to cook on high for another 4 hours. Serve with crusty bread or crackers.

5NOTE: Can be cooked on low for 6 - 8 hours or done entirely on stovetop.
