Ingredients
| 1/2 c | packed brown sugar |
| 1/2 c | ketchup |
| 1 1/2 lb | lean ground beef |
| 3/4 c | milk |
| 2 | eggs |
| 1 1/2 tsp | salt |
| 1/4 tsp | ground black pepper |
| 1 sm | onion, chopped (can use dry minced) |
| 1/4 tsp | ground ginger (i use a little more) |
| 3/4 c | finely crushed cracker crumbs (i use club) |

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Lightly grease 5 x 9 inch loaf pan.Press the brown sugar in the bottom of the prepared loaf pan and spread the ketchup over the sugar.In a mixing bowl, mix thoroughly all remaining ingredients and shape into a loaf.Place the loaf on top of the ketchup.Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until the juices are clear.**This recipe is even more delicious the next day!

I usually make a brown sugar/ketchup glaze when I make meatloaf. Most of the time I use a combo of bread crumbs/oatmeal and haven't tried crackers. Also, what intrigues me about this recipe is the ginger!
I'll have to leave onion out and use onion powder (DH!) when I make it, which could possibly be tomorrow. :-)
