I've been making this recipe for years. My family loves it and it melts in your mouth. I serve it over rice.

Ingredients

1 1/2
lbs of beef round steak
1/4 c
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
salt
2 Tbsp
shortening
1
16 oz can tomatoes (cut up)
1/2 c
onions (chopped)
1/2 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1/2 c
carrots (cut up) *optional

Step-By-Step

1Cut meat into 6 serving size portions.
2Combine flour & salt, pound 2 tbls of mixture into meat.
3Brown meat in shortening.
4Put meat in baking dish.
5Blend & bring the rest of the flour mixture into pan drippings, stir in undrained tomatoes, carrots, onions, and worstershire sauce.
6Stir until thick and bubbly.
7Pour over meat and bake covered at 350 degrees until tender. About 1 hour and 20 minutes.
