Ingredients

4 lb
beef brisket
hot water
1 Tbsp
salt
1 qt
sauerkraut
1/4 tsp
pepper
1 c
vinegar
3 Tbsp
brown sugar
1
potato, grated
1 tsp
caraway seeds

Step-By-Step

1Cover brisket with water; season.

2Simmer for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours.

3Add sauerkraut, vinegar and brown sugar.

4Cook 1 hour longer.

5Add potato and caraway seed.

6Cook 10 minutes longer.

7Yeild 6 to 8 servings.
