This was a recipe my mom used to make when I lived at home. I think it may be French. Maybe someone here knows. But in a way its somewhat like a beef stew type of dish. Enjoy!

Ingredients

2 lb
beef (i'd say cut up in small pieces)
3-4 carrots chopped
1 c
celery, chopped
2 tsp
onions, sliced
2 can(s)
tomatoes i guess you can chose the size of the cans it doesn't specificy the size of the can
1 c
tomato sauce
1 clove
garlic
3 Tbsp
tapioca
1 Tbsp
sugar
1/2 c
burgandy

Directions Step-By-Step

Cook above ingredients at 250* for 5 hours (covered). After 4 hours add 1 cup sliced water chestnuts, 1/2 pound mushrooms, and 2 pounds cubed potatoes.
