Bacon Cheeseburger Deluxe Meatloaf

Growing up my least favorite meal was probably meatloaf. But meatloaf is "man food" and "comfort food" according to my family and probably yours. I came up with this cheeseburger flavored recipe after scouting around online looking at many recipes. I implemented flavors that I think make for a great meatloaf. I hope you have chance to try it. My guy says it isn't meatloaf unless the catsup glaze is on it! The boys say this tastes just like cheeseburgers! So here is my best!

pinch tips: How to Peel Hard Boiled Eggs


2 lb
ground beef
1 medium
yellow onion, diced
2 clove
garlic, minced
1 c
saltine crackers, crushed (ritz works well too)
1 tsp
onion powder
1 tsp
garlic powder
1 tsp
montreal steak/burger seasoning
1-2 pinch
black pepper
3 Tbsp
dill pickle relish or chopped dill pickles
2 Tbsp
heinz 57 sauce
1 Tbsp
yellow mustard
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
2-3 Tbsp
heavy cream or milk
1/2 c
cheddar cheese, shredded
3-4 slice
bacon, chopped & fried crisp
1 1/2 c

Directions Step-By-Step

In skillet on stovetop fry bacon pieces until crisp, remove from pan and drain on paper towels.

In a large mixing bowl gently fold together all ingredients except catsup.
Spray medium rectangle baking dish or loaf pan with nonstick spray.
Squirt or "frost" meatloaf with catsup. I probably use more than 1/4 C as you can see in the photo.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes.

About 1/2 way through baking time I try to use a turkey baster to remove the grease that has cooked out of the ground beef dish during the baking process.
For the "Deluxe" I serve this meatloaf with a side salad made with iceberg lettuce, sliced tomato & thin sliced raw onion. It really does taste like a Deluxe Bacon Cheeseburger.

What can I say...BUT...YUMMY!!

This is my newest twis on eatloaf and the family has already askef for it again. Yes Spearfish is a nice little town. Really pretty. Have a wonderful 4th of July.

It sounds wonderful, a thought is to chop the raw bacon up finely and add in .

I work at an assisted living center and meatloaf was on the menu for the second Sunday in a row. I wanted something different, so I made this meatloaf. I tripled this and it came out GREAT!! The side dish was supposed to be mashed potatoes, but we'd had potato soup for dinner the night before, so, I chose to make Cheddar Zucchini Casserole instead. It was a hands down success! The residents loved the different combination.

Need to add that I put in some garlic powder and added about 3/4 cup chopped kosher dill pickles. this is for the tripled recipe.
