I used apple butter but did not make the glaze. So it was less sweet.

I did serve with a little ketchup or BBQ sauce on the side.

kelli avci kavci, this is mildly sweet. I used sugar free applesauce because hubby and I are both diabetic so, we have to try and cut back on sweetness where we can LOL. I also used Granny Smith apples which are a tart apple. I hope this helps :)

Thank you for responding so quickly Suzanne. I just bought a bunch of ground beef on sale and trying to find recipes to use it lol ...

I do have another question for anybody who has made this already ... is this a "sweet" meatloaf?? I am not fond of apple butter but can't remember why as it had been years since I've had it but that doesn't mean I wouldn't put it in my meatloaf. But I thought I read somewhere that it was sweet. Oh I also have a bunch of apples I need to use too lol so I wanted to try this.

Yes kelli avci kavci, I've made it once with the turkey bacon and it was just as tasty :)

Has anyone tried this with turkey bacon yet? My hubby does not eat pork.
