A1 Shepherds pie

My husband and kids love this one. And its pretty easy to make!

3 lb
ground beef or turkey meat
1 bottle
a1 steak sauce (the big bottle)
1/2 pkg
frozen pearl onions (bag)
2 - 3 lb
potatoes, mashed
2 c
cheddar cheese, shredded
2 - 3 can(s)
whole kernal corn
1 pkg
beef or brown gravy mix (powder)
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp
margarine or butter
2 Tbsp


1In a medium pot, cook frozen pearl onions in oil and butter (or margarine) until soft and slightly carmelized.
2Brown ground beef or turkey in a large frying pan until no longer pink - drain and return to pan.
3Prepare mashed potatoes how you normally would (i use butter and milk, or you can use the premade kind if you want to save time) add the cheese, salt & pepper and set aside to let cheese melt
4Add A1, onions, corn and gravy mix to meat mixture- stir to combine.
5Transfer meat mixture into a 9x13 backing pan (a deep one works well) then cover with mashed potatoes mixture.
6Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour (top will start to turn golden brown)
