This is wonderful on the barbecue. I like to put the lid on and smoke it a little.

Ingredients

1 medium
onion sliced
1 small
garlic clove minced
1/2 c
soy sauce. i use low sodium
2 Tbsp
brown sugar
2 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 Tbsp
vegetable oil
1 1/4 tsp
salt
1 tsp
minced ginger or !/2 teas. ground ginger

top round beef steak 1 inch thick. approx 1 and 1/2 lb each
or use 3 lbs chicken leg quarters. add 2 more table spoons brown sugar to marinade.

Step-By-Step

1in an 8X12 in dish.( I use a roasting bag to marinate meat) Mix first 8 ingredients.

2Place meat in dish turn to coat all sides.
Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hrs. Turning occasionally.

3Preheat broiler place meat on broiling pan
Broil 10- 15 mins each side for rare or broil to taste, Broil chicken 20 mins each side.

4Or take it outside and barbecue it.
