1 2 1/3 cups King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
1 1 to 2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 *Can you substitute butter for the vegetable shortening? Yes; but the cookies will be soft, not crisp.
