Ingredients

1 C. Sugar
1/3 C. Water
1/4 tsp. Cream of tartar
2 Egg whites
1 tsp. Vanilla

Directions Step-By-Step

In a small saucepan combine sugar, water, and cream of tartar. Bring the mixture to boiling over medium high heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.In a medium mixing bowl combine egg whites and vanilla. While beating egg whites mixture with an electric mixer on high speed, very slowly add the sugar mixture. Then beat about 7 minutes or until stiff peaks form (tips stand straight).
