Ingredients

20 oz Can pineapple chunks
3/4 C Maple flavored syrup
1/2 C Vinegar
24 Freezer Meatballs *
1 lg Red or green pepper
2 Tbs Cornstarch
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 C Cold water
11 oz Can mandarin orange sections (drained)
Chow mein noodles or hot cooked rice

Directions Step-By-Step

Place a 1 quart strainer over a medium saucepan and drain pineapple. Set pineapple aside. To the pineapple syrup in the saucepan, add the maple flavored syrup and vinegar. Add Freezer Meatballs*, bring to boiling. Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes or until meatballs are hot. Chop green pepper into 3/4 inch pieces. Add chopped peppers to meatball mixture. Stir together cornstarch and salt. Stir in water. Blend into mixture in saucepan. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly; cook 1 or 2 minutes longer. Add drained pineapple and mandarin orange sections; cook until heated through.Serve over chow mein noodles or hot cooked rice.*Freezer Meatballs recipe located in this program
