My mother has been making this hot punch since forever. We make it in an electric percolator but I think it can be just as easily made on the stove. This is what we all drink at family gatherings come fall all through the winter and is practically a tradition in our family.

Ingredients

2 1/2 c
un-sweetened pineapple juice
2 1/2 c
cranberry juice
1 1/2 c
water, cold
2 stick
cinnamon (crushed or broken up)
4
cloves
1/3 c
brown sugar
1/8 tsp
salt

Step-By-Step

1Combined juices and water in a pot or in a percolator.
2If using a percolator place crushed cinnamon sticks, cloves, brown sugar, and salt in the basket. Seal up and let the percolator go.
3If using stove top go ahead and add brown sugar and salt to liquid and in a mesh tea ball put in cloves and cinnamon sticks. This makes it easy to fish out later. Bring everything to a boil for 5-10 min then serve.
