Pour the lavender flowers from their stalks and put them into a bowl with the sugar and 1/2 cup boiling water. Stir briskly until the sugar has dissolved, then leave the lavender to steep for 10 minutes.
Squeeze the oranges using a citrus juicer and pour the juice into a jug(pitcher). Strain the lavender syrup into the juice and chill. Serve poured over ice.
