Ingredients

1 quart milk or vanilla soymilk
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
whipped cream, optional

Directions Step-By-Step

In large pan, stir together milk, pumpkin, sugar and nutmeg. Heat through. Do not boil. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.

Ladle into mugs. If desired, top with a spoonful of whipped cream. Makes 6 servings.
