Warming and sensual this coffee is something special. This is supposed to be for 8 servings but I must confess that I like more coffee in my cup so I'm doing well if I manage 6 servings. It's not at all uncommon for folks to take seconds either.

Ingredients For spiced christmas coffee

  • 3/4 c
    chilled whipping cream
  • 1 c
    freshly ground coffee (preferrable a mild roast)
  • 2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    powdered sugar
  • 5 tsp
    ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp
    brandy (your favorite)
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 7 c
    water

How To Make spiced christmas coffee

    Using electric mixer, beat whipping cream in a large bowl to soft peaks.

    Add powdered sugar and brandy; beat to peaks.

    Place ground coffee, cardamom, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in coffee filter.

    Using spoon, mix gently.

    Add water to the coffee maker and brew according to manufacturer's instructions.

    Divide coffee among 8 cups.

    Garnish each with a generous dollop of whipped cream and serve immediately.
